Home/About
AboutFounded in 2021, OpenBoxAI is a technology company whose core business is game development and global publishing. Its in-house Character Memory System, Procedural Content Generation and cross-platform toolchain give the company's own games a distinctive technical foundation.
Equal weight on technical capability and creative capability is the guiding principle behind how the business is organized.
The business has three parts. Technology R&D builds the six core technology systems that underpin every product. Game Development runs three in-house project teams covering narrative, simulation / management, card strategy, character-raising, casual puzzle and strategy / city-building genres. Global Publishing handles localization, user acquisition, community building and live operations.
Together the three form a closed loop inside the company. Technical validation, gameplay prototyping, content production and marketing are all handled by in-house teams, keeping technology, content quality and market performance aligned.
The company's games are currently published by region across Southeast Asia, Japan & Korea, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan, reaching more than 40 countries and regions in 12 languages. The team numbers more than 90 people, about 80% of them in technical and content roles.
Build games around strong characters and rich worlds that players remember and keep talking about for years.
Use in-house technology to close the content production cost gap, so the team can compete on product quality with international peers.
Technology investment is judged solely by its real contribution to player experience and operating efficiency. No technology for show, detached from the product.
Every new gameplay concept needs a playable prototype before greenlight, and reviews are based on hands-on experience.
Retention, conversion and cost are the three metrics that set iteration priorities.
No manipulative monetization, no mandatory daily quests, and a focus on long-term experience quality.
Tools boost output, but the main story and core levels are always designed and finalized by people.
